Allegri suspended for two matches, €10,000 fine after outburst in Rome

Saturday, the Italian coach Massimiliano Allegri, Kevin De Bruyne's manager at Naples (Napoli), lost his cool against AS Roma, receiving a red card that earned him a two‑match suspension and a €10,000 fine in the final added time.
Sanction and appeal
The coach received a two‑match suspension and a €10,000 fine, a decision that the Neapolitan club immediately contested by filing an appeal with the disciplinary commission.
The incident occurred on Saturday, when Naples' advantage vanished at the end of the match and Leonardo Balerdi equalised; the Neapolitan players believed a foul had been committed on Sam Beukema, but the VAR did not intervene.
Allegri was shown a red card and, after the match, said “I didn’t say anything at all”, claiming he is systematically penalised whenever he moves along the touchline, unlike other coaches.

He recalled the fines he had to pay last season and joked that he could stop moving at all during matches to avoid further sanctions.
Because of the suspension, Allegri will miss the upcoming league clashes against AC Monza and Juventus, his former club, depriving Naples of its coach for two crucial games.

Naples hopes to obtain a reduction of the sanction through the appeal, but the coach also criticised Roma, accusing them of preferential treatment in the past, remarks that remain for the commission’s review and could lead to further sanctions.
