Bayern's summer surge: Nathaniel Brown joins, €55m deal sealed

🇩🇪

Bayern Munich confirmed the signing of 23‑year‑old left‑back Nathaniel Brown from Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday, paying an estimated €55 million and tying him down to a five‑year contract until 2031. The move follows the earlier introduction of Moroccan winger Ismael Saibari and marks Bayern's second major acquisition of the summer window.

Brown signed a five‑year deal that runs to the summer of 2031. At Bayern he will contest the left‑back spot with Alphonso Davies, while the club remains open to the possibility of Davies departing.

This week, veteran left‑back Raphael Guerreiro exited his contract at the Allianz Arena, creating further space in the defensive line. His departure adds to the reshaping of Bayern's full‑back options.

Brown was Germany's first‑choice left‑back at the World Cup, where the team reached the round of 16 before losing on penalties to Paraguay. Frankfurt had bought him in summer 2024 for €5.5 million from FC Nürnberg, earning a sizable profit on the 23‑year‑old.

Speaking through Bayern's official channels, Brown said, “Bayern is one of the best clubs in the world. It means a lot for me to get the chance to play for this club and it fills me with pride. I also come from Bavaria, which makes it extra special. I have always dreamed of playing for the biggest titles at the highest level. Vincent Kompany showed me how he assesses my development and convinced me completely.”

With Saibari and Brown now on board, Bayern's summer outlay has already topped €100 million, according to club reports. The club's aggressive recruitment underlines its ambition to maintain domestic dominance and European competitiveness.
