Fabregas keeps Como’s €30m Chalobah bid and Couto chase under wraps

Cesc Fabregas confirmed that Serie A side Como have tabled an offer of around €30 million plus bonuses for Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah, while also circling former Manchester City full‑back Yan Couto, as the Italian club prepares for its first Champions League campaign.

When asked by after Como’s 3‑2 win over Famalicão in the third‑place play‑off of the Como Cup, Fabregas smiled and said, “Obviously I know everything, every step, every minute and every moment. I won’t say anything,” adding that the club is working well and will announce arrivals when the time is right.

Sporting director Carlalberto Ludi is leading the negotiations, having put forward an offer of around €30 million plus bonuses for Chalobah, a figure that approaches the Blues’ €35 million valuation for the defender.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, both the Chalobah and Couto deals are gathering pace as Como look to strengthen ahead of their debut Champions League campaign, signalling the club’s intent to build a squad capable of competing at Europe’s highest level.
