Nicolo Tresoldi dreams of AC Milan – Father warns of Inter interest

On the training ground of Club Brugge, the 22‑year‑old Nicolo Tresoldi stands with the AC Milan jersey in hand, while his father Emanuele tells him about the glorious times at Atalanta. The German U21 international, who will feature on Tuesday in the Champions League second‑leg against Inter, dreams, according to his family, of the red‑blacks.

Family love for the Rossoneri

Emanuele Tresoldi, former left‑back with 18 Serie A appearances for Atalanta, told the Italian sports newspaper that his son had fallen in love with Kaka, Inzaghi and Pato. “It was impossible to dissuade him,” he said, emphasizing that his son’s fan feelings could prevail if Inter showed interest.

Market value and transfer rumours

Since his move in summer 2025 from Hannover 96 to Brugge for seven million euros, Tresoldi has raised his market value to 35 million euros. The contract runs until 2029, and Brugge already demands 50 million euros as a release fee – an amount that so far no interested party has been willing to pay. Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, FC Barcelona, Tottenham, Manchester United and Roma are reported as possible buyers.

The striker has already scored 16 goals in 27 caps for the German U21 team and was most recently omitted from Jürgen Klopp’s 44‑man squad. His decision on whether to play for the DFB team or the Squadra Azzurra in the future is expected to be made only after the junior European Championship next summer.

While Brugge will play the Champions League match against Inter on Tuesday, it remains unclear whether Tresoldi will use the game for the Rossoneri or for a potential Inter move. His father stresses that a move to Inter would jeopardise the long‑cherished Rossoneri dreams.

The combination of a high market value, a long contract term and clear personal wishes makes the 22‑year‑old forward one of the most coveted talents in European football. Observers are waiting anxiously for the decision that could shape not only his club career but also his international future.
