Florenzi analyses Roma's turnaround against the Red Devils

Alessandro Florenzi, former Roma defender, commented on Sky Sport on the knockout of the giallorossi against Manchester United in the Champions League: the team went 2‑0 down, but in the second half it was rallied and lost 3‑2, a defeat that hurts more than the one against Real.

“Roma must understand the moments of the game,” Florenzi said.

Florenzi recalled that, as José Gasperini says, the team is improving but lacks experience in matches.

According to the defender, the first‑half Roma was stellar, whereas in the second half United came onto the pitch better, with nothing to lose.

Florenzi said the defeat hurts more than the one against Real Madrid, because Roma only played one half, whereas against United they had great football for over eighty minutes.

He praised Balerdi for a match, but reminded that the defender’s role is delicate: one mistake costs a goal, nullifying the other nine correct actions.
