Dortmund’s €2 million gamble on Veerman fuels Netherlands hopes
Borussia Dortmund have completed the signing of Dutch playmaker Joey Veerman, adding creativity to a squad that will compete in the Champions League and chase the Bundesliga title, while the €2 million fee reported to PSV aims to replace the creative void left by his Eredivisie departure, and Oranje’ fans hope his national team future remains bright.
Financial terms and early links
Bij De Oranjezomer, Noa Vahle explained that roughly €2 million will be transferred to PSV as part of the deal.
Vahle added that Veerman could have moved to Fenerbahçe last year and was also linked with Brentford before the Dortmund transfer materialised.
He said everyone watching the Eredivisie deserves the player’s next step.
Vahle warned that Veerman will face intense competition in Germany.
He noted that the midfielder will play Champions League football and compete for the German championship with a fantastic team and stadium.
Vahle also praised Veerman’s personality, saying he is “incredibly nice in interviews and always says what he means.”
