Bayern's plan revives Benjamin Sesko as a target in the Allianz Arena

🇬🇧 By 4AllFootball ·

Rumours swirl inside the bustling Allianz Arena as a new plan is whispered, while FC Bayern sends a fresh signal to reshape its offensive. The German giants have revived interest in former transfer target Benjamin Sesko, a step linked to a special plan that involves captain Harry Kane and puts the striker back in the club's sight.

The report comes from Bayern insider Christian Falk, whose insider status gives the claim weight. Falk confirmed that Bayern are actively monitoring the situation of the Slovenian striker.

According to Falk, Harry Kane admits he will not become faster with age, but insists he remains indispensable for Bayern through his passing and vision. This self‑assessment fuels the idea of playing deeper and freeing a pure striker ahead of him.

The concept already sits in the coaching staff's heads. When Vincent Kompany took charge in 2024, the club wanted to sign Sesko, but deemed him too expensive. A year later Manchester United secured the striker instead.

At Manchester United last season Sesko featured in 32 games, scoring twelve goals and providing one assist.

His previous spell at RB Leipzig produced thirty‑nine goals and eight assists in eighty‑seven appearances, underscoring his proven goal‑scoring quality.

Bayern also have Ismael Saibari as an option for a similar role. The club will first assess Saibari's deployment in the coming season before taking a decisive step for Sesko, and Falk added that the plan could be revisited if the striker encounters difficulties in the Premier League.

The long‑term goal is clear: Bayern aim to secure a successor for Harry Kane who can thrive in a two‑striker system. This vision is central to Kompany's strategy and reflects a broader tactical shift at the club.

By linking a deeper tactical approach with the hunt for a top striker, Bayern signal their intention to stay competitive beyond the Kane era and to secure offensive power for the years ahead, contrasting the earlier missed opportunity with a proactive new plan.
