Viking seemed on track for a big upset with a 2‑0 lead in the first half, but Harry Kane brought Bayern back into the game after the break with two goals. Luis Díaz appeared to secure the win in the 71st minute, but Michael Olise received a second yellow card and the Norwegian side held on. In the 90th minute Herman Johan Haugen headed in the equaliser, after which the match ended in a 3‑3 draw.

Club Brugge delivered a thunderous performance at home by beating Inter 4‑3. Nicolo Tresoldi scored three times, making him the man of the evening. Ange‑Yoan Bonny added a consolation goal in the 93rd minute, after which Brugge secured the three points.

The match in Milan was characterised by a rapid succession of goals: Aleksey Batrakov in the 28th minute, João Cancelo just before halftime, Fermín López in the 50th, Anthony Gordon in the 53rd and Karim Adeyemi in the 65th, all in the Champions‑League context.

After the break Lamine Yamal provided two assists and a pre‑assist, after which Barcelona lost 1‑4.

At the same time Atlético Madrid recorded an easy 2‑0 win over Manchester United, while Arsenal convincingly beat Lille 3‑0. Jurriën Timber was one of the scorers for the Londoners, with a brilliant strike.

The evening ended dramatically when Michael Olise received a second yellow card after he threw a ball at the face of a Viking player, after which Luis Díaz made it 2‑3 for Bayern. Ultimately Herman Johan Haugen provided the final 3‑3 in the 90+7th minute.
