Tuchel tipped to give Dewsbury-Hall first England call

Thomas Tuchel is set to name his England squad this week, and he has been tipped to hand a first call-up to Everton midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. The 28-year-old, who made his name in the Premier League at Leicester City before a move to Chelsea, has been a key player for Everton since joining the club. Henry Winter has called on Tuchel to give Dewsbury-Hall his long-awaited England recognition, suggesting that he deserves to be in the squad based on current form.
If Thomas Tuchel picks on form, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall deserves to be in the England squad announced on Friday morning, Winter said. "Everton midfielder bossed Newcastle United last night. Brings a winning mindset and intensity - pressing and tackling. Brings a touch of finesse, 2 goals and one assist in 9 Premier League games, glides with the ball." Winter also highlighted the player's versatility, noting he can play at 6, 8 or 10, and added: "Wherever he plays, KDH brings the best out of those around him."
Winter noted the midfielder's superb discipline this season, pointing out he has received just one yellow card and committed three fouls in 804 minutes. This marks a significant improvement from last year when he served a one-game ban after accumulating five yellow cards in six Premier League games. Winter noted that the midfielder has clearly worked on avoiding poor decisions by officials and has spoken to David Moyes and the coaches at Finch Farm about it.
Dewsbury-Hall's consistency and importance to Everton is clear, with the midfielder playing almost the entirety of all nine of the club's Premier League games this season. The midfielder previously admitted he has been named in larger provisional squads before they are narrowed down, but he is still yet to be involved in an England camp. Whether Tuchel agrees with Winter remains to be seen, but if he has been watching Everton's recent games, it certainly would not be a surprise if Dewsbury-Hall did get a call-up.
