Sky Guiu target hinges on Napoli diktat from Chiavelli, says Manna
Napoli’s attempt to acquire Chelsea striker Marc Guiu remains on hold, as club director Chiavelli has imposed a diktat that a permanent sale must be completed before any purchase, a condition reiterated by sporting director Manna, leaving the summer transfer agenda under pressure.
Chiavelli’s sale diktat
Sky Sport reported the development in its Calciomercato Napoli coverage, citing journalist Luca Marchetti of Sky Calcio Club. Marchetti quoted the club as saying, “Il Napoli vorrebbe prendere un attaccante in più per avere un’alternativa a Lucca, specie se Allegri volesse giocare con le due punte, magari in Champions.” The story appeared in Stampa A− A+ and highlighted that Manna is ready to purchase Guiu once the sale condition is met.
Napoli’s broader targeting
The club has also scouted Gabriel Jesus, Jackson and Zirkzee, but prefers a long‑term investment in a very young talent like Guiu. Lang currently only receives loan offers, reinforcing Napoli’s desire to secure a permanent signing rather than a temporary fix. Napoli must now identify a buyer for a player on a permanent basis before finalising the Guiu deal, and the next steps will focus on converting loan interest in Lang into a full transfer to satisfy Chiavelli’s diktat.
