Olympiacos' €8m jackpot looms for Charleroi's Titraoui

Yacine Titraoui is on the brink of leaving Sporting Charleroi as Olympiacos finalises an €8 million agreement that will give the Algerian midfielder a place in next season’s CL campaign. The deal, announced after two seasons in the Zwarte Land, marks a major step up for the 23‑year‑old.

Volgens Sacha Tavolieri, Olympiacos paid €8 million for Titraoui. The Greeks had earlier offered €7 million, matching his estimated market value on Transfermarkt, but Charleroi rejected that bid before accepting the €1 million increase.

Charleroi secured the Algerijnse midfielder from Paradou AC in the summer of 2024 for €1.2 million. The €8 million sale therefore delivers a substantial profit on a player who has only been at Mambourg for two years.

Titraoui’s contract runs until June 2027, and the summer sale prevents him from entering his final contract year, preserving Charleroi’s negotiating strength.

In 74 appearances for the Carolo, the Algerijn scored seven goals and provided five assists. His performances also earned him five caps for the Algerijn national side.

Olympiacos promises the chance to play in the Champions League next season and a four‑year contract that will place Titraoui among the club’s higher‑paid players, a clear financial upgrade.
