Millions of euros for Michael Olise from Bayern patron Uli Hoeneß – rumor?
While rumors of a €300 million transfer of Michael Olise to Real Madrid swirl in the football world, Bayern patron Uli Hoeneß emphasizes that the Frenchman is contractually bound until 30 June 2029 and he feels no urgency to discuss a departure.
Rumors about record transfer fee
During the World Cup, speculation repeatedly surfaced that Olise should move to Real Madrid and command a record transfer fee of around €300 million. Hoeneß dismissed these rumors as „all cheese“. „Michael has a contract with us until 30 June 2029. Therefore we are not worried about that", said the 74‑year‑old honorary president in an interview with Die Welt.
Contract and future plans
Hoeneß explained that during the season they will talk with Olise about a possible contract extension. If he has not yet decided, they will wait until 2029. „During the season we will talk to him about whether he wants to extend. If he does not want to yet, we will simply wait until 2029. I am not at all uneasy about that", he emphasized. A salary increase is likely with an extension, but the club has so far not dealt with the amount.
In a direct comparison with Barcelona superstar Lamine Yamal, Hoeneß sees Olise clearly ahead. He described the young Frenchman as „in terms of consistency incredible and, in my eyes, also better than Lamine Yamal. He scores goals, creates chances, is fast – almost the perfect player“. For Hoeneß, Olise is on the best path to become the best player in the world.
Uli Hoeneß accuses Liverpool, saying Wirtz would play better at Bayern
Olise is not only considered by many football fans as one of the best players in the world, but also as one of the most coveted superstars among players. The Bayern patron emphasizes that the youngster brings a lot of joy and already belongs among the world’s top talents.
Bayern legend Lothar Matthäus had already warned against a quick contract extension, but Hoeneß remains calm. He sees no pressure and wants to decide on salaries and contract terms only when necessary.
The contrast between the loud market rumors and Hoeneß’s relaxed stance shows that Bayern Munich, despite possible record offers, is focused on long‑term stability and does not want to lose Olise hastily.
