Kasimpasa chooses Dutch Alfred Schreuder after Emre's departure

In the bustling Istanbul Kasımpaşa stadium there is already an expectation, as Alfred Schreuder seems likely to return soon as head coach.
According to journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Kasımpaşa want the Dutchman as successor to Emre Belezoglu, who departed for Fenerbahçe this week.
Schreuder’s career in a nutshell
Schreuder started in 2014 as head coach at FC Twente.
Two years later he was dismissed and returned as an assistant, first at Hoffenheim and then at Ajax.
Hoffenheim later appointed him as the person in charge, but the adventure ended in a major flop.
In 2022 he took charge at Club Brugge and promptly led the team to the national championship in Belgium.
Afterwards he returned to Ajax as head coach, but was also dismissed there quickly.
A few months after his departure he went to Al‑Ain in the UAE, but was dismissed in November due to a conflict within the staff.
In the same month he joined Al‑Nasr SC, where he stayed until the end of the 2024‑2025 season.
In December 2025 he started as a coach at Al‑Diriyah.
After half a year he returned to Europe to support Germany's World Cup campaign with Julian Nagelsmann.
Now Schreuder is appointed as the person in charge at Kasımpaşa until the end of the season, reports Sabuncuoglu.
Kasımpaşa has recently reached an agreement with the technical director who previously worked with Nagelsmann, until the end of the season, reports Sabuncuoglu.
