Alfred Schreuder appoints Kasımpaşa as new head coach

On a cool Wednesday evening in Istanbul, Kasımpaşa officially announced that the Dutchman Alfred Schreuder is the new head coach, a step that the club confirmed through its channels after earlier rumours about a technical director role, marking a new chapter in his career.
Contract and earlier rumours
Kasımpaşa announced through the official channels that Schreuder has signed a contract until the end of the current season. Earlier it was reported that he would start as technical director, but now it appears that he will become a “regular” coach in Turkey.
On Wednesday evening the Turkish club officially confirmed the arrival of the Dutchman. Earlier that same day sources reported that he was on his way to Kasımpaşa and would hold the position of technical director.
The former Ajax coach thus returns to club football, after having been active last summer as an assistant to Julian Nagelsmann with the German national team. In the past, Schreuder has been at the helm of Ajax, Club Brugge and Hoffenheim, among others.
The Turkish club wishes the Dutchman much success in his new role in an official statement. The publication notes: ‘2 min See us more often on Google’.
