Harry Kane breaks record, Cristiano Ronaldo remains sole predecessor
Until now, only Cristiano Ronaldo had been the sole player to manage scoring in ten Champions League games in a row on Europe's biggest club football stage. Bayern superstar Harry Kane surpassed that with a club record against his youth club Arsenal in the decisive duel and thereby wrote his own Arsenal history.
Kane's club record at a glance
Harry Kane of FC Bayern set a club record in the Champions League match against Arsenal by scoring in the tenth consecutive top‑class game. Until now, only Cristiano Ronaldo had been successful on Europe's biggest club football stage.
Since his brace in January 2026 against Union Saint‑Gilloise, Kane has scored at least once in every match. This extends his scoring streak, which has continued uninterrupted since that game.
He continued the streak in the final group match of the previous season against PSV Eindhoven with a goal. In the knockout round he netted two goals in a match against Atalanta Bergamo and also scored one goal each against Real Madrid and Paris Saint‑Germain.
In this season he scored once again in the 5‑0 victory over Bodø/Glimt. In the 3‑3 draw against Viking Stavanger he scored twice, and with a hand‑penalty he sealed the 2‑1 win against the Gunners in the 61st minute.
Cristiano Ronaldo, often referred to as “CR7”, compiled a record streak of eleven games for Real Madrid from June 2017 to April 2018. This makes him, to date, the only player with a longer streak than Kane.
The third place is shared by Robert Lewandowski and Ruud van Nistelrooy, who each scored in nine consecutive games. Lewandowski achieved this feat twice – from September 2019 to August 2020 and from November 2020 to November 2021 for Bayern.
Ruud van Nistelrooy was successful in the Manchester United shirt from September 2002 to April 2003, also scoring nine consecutive goals. His streak was therefore an early forerunner of today’s records.
