Defence chief Jonathan Tah admitted in a Sportschau interview: “We simply did not use the spaces the Greeks gave us well enough.” Joshua Kimmich added: “We played too static, were not moving enough.” Goalkeeper Alexander Nübel criticised: “We shoot too little at goal.” The ticker information showed that all group matches had already been completed.
