Fenerbahce’s £325k‑a‑week lure for Rashford meets Stelling’s warning

Turkish giants Fenerbahce have been linked with a summer move for England forward Marcus Rashford, with the club is prepared to meet his £325,000‑per‑week wage demand. Jeff Stelling, however, cautioned that a transfer to Turkey would be a ‘last resort’ for the Manchester United striker.

Fenerbahce hope Rashford’s arrival will help end a 13‑year Turkish Super Lig title drought, the club’s last league triumph coming in 2014. The Turkish side also boasts a familiar environment, as former United teammates Fred, Sofyan Amrabat and Mason Greenwood now wear the Istanbul colours. According to The Sun, Fenerbahce have placed Rashford on a three‑man shortlist of targets for the summer window. The Turkish club is reportedly ready to throw plenty of cash at the forward to secure his services in Istanbul. Such financial commitment underscores Fenerbahce’s ambition to restore their dominance in the Super Lig.

Despite the Red Devils boss Michael Carrick’s earlier openness to Rashford’s return, the club’s priority remains cutting the striker’s £325,000‑per‑week salary from its books. The presence of Matheus Cunha in the No. 10 shirt further limits Rashford’s pathway back into the starting eleven.
