Jürgen Klopp gave a short speech to the 24 national players, including captain Joshua Kimmich and goalkeeper Marc‑André ter Stegen, before the first team training of the German national team to launch the final phase of Nations League preparation and the start of the Nations League. In his speech Jürgen Klopp addressed a few words to the national players, especially targeting Joshua Kimmich and Marc‑André ter Stegen. The entire coaching staff listened attentively before the warm‑up began. The players started with light exercises, during which they also horseplayed and laughed.
Sport director Rudi Völler observed the training from the edge of the training ground in the team quarters in Herzogenaurach. At the same time, Marc‑André ter Stegen, Alexander Nübel and Finn Dahmen took their specialised goalkeeper training at the opposite end of the complex.
Klopp mocks Xavi ahead of Nations League clash in Amsterdam
The first international match under Klopp after the disappointing World Cup performance in America is scheduled for Thursday at 20:45 in the Netherlands.
