Dani Carvajal close to signing with Getafe and returning to LaLiga

Dani Carvajal close to signing with Getafe and returning to LaLiga

Dani Carvajal, former Real Madrid player, has been without a club since June 30 when his contract with the white side ended, and could return to LaLiga by signing with Getafe, ABC reports. After a career full of successes, the right‑back is looking to return to Spanish football.

Negotiations progress with Getafe

Since the end of his contract with Real Madrid, Carvajal has been training on his own, without joining any club. That solitary routine could end now, with the possibility of joining Getafe.

ABC has revealed that the Madrid‑born player has been in contact with Getafe in recent days, awaiting the finalisation of a deal. Coach José Bordalás has expressed his support for the signing, although it has not yet been formalised.

The main obstacle is LaLiga's financial control. The salary Carvajal earned at Real Madrid was very high, whereas Getafe's wage limit is practically at the minimum.

Therefore, the deal will require LaLiga's approval and probably a salary reduction for the former player. The agreement still needs to be sealed and faces financial challenges.

If the transfer materialises, Carvajal's arrival would be a great thrill for Getafe's fans and would strengthen both the pitch and the dressing room, thanks to his experience and quality.

During his spell at Real Madrid, Carvajal amassed numerous titles, establishing himself as one of the most prominent full‑backs of the last decade.
