Club Brugge target Pape Moussa Fall as Tresoldi heir, Anderlecht watch

Club Brugge target Pape Moussa Fall as Tresoldi heir, Anderlecht watch

In the echoing corridors of Jan Breydel Stadium, Club Brugge scouts whisper about a name that could reshape attack. The 22‑year‑old forward Pape Moussa Fall, on loan at La Louvière, is touted as the likely successor to Nicolo Tresoldi, who is set to leave next summer. Anderlecht also monitor the player, and the former JPL forward has resurfaced in their radar.

Fall's profile and contract

Fall remains under contract with FC Metz until June 2029. He spent last season on loan at La Louvière, where he impressed enough for his market value to rise to nine million euros, up from half a million euros a year earlier. Metz tried to recall him early last year, but La Louvière resisted, allowing the loan to run its full term.

Club Brugge have long monitored Fall, seeing him as a possible replacement for Tresoldi. Their scouts are reportedly travelling to France to assess him further. The club’s interest is not new, but the impending departure of Tresoldi has sharpened their focus.

Nicolo Tresoldi is widely expected to leave Club Brugge in the coming summer, leaving a vacancy in the forward line. The club’s current striker Romeo Vermant, who has been a regular at Jan Breydel, may face reduced playing time if a new number nine arrives. Consequently, Vermant is thought to be weighing guarantees or a move elsewhere.

Brugge and Anderlecht eye the striker

Anderlecht have also kept Fall on their radar, viewing him as a potential boost to their attack. Both clubs are aware that an early return to Metz could open the market, but the player has stayed at La Louvière for the season. Their monitoring continues as the transfer window approaches.

Club Brugge must also contend with interest from Galatasaray, Mainz, Lille and Lorient, which complicates any swift acquisition. The presence of these suitors means Brugge may need to act decisively to secure the striker.

The outcome of this pursuit could shape Brugge’s attacking options for the next campaign and influence Anderlecht’s recruitment strategy. With Tresoldi’s exit looming, the race for Fall adds another layer to the Belgian summer transfer narrative.
