Bayern slams early goal conceded to Augsburg in Champions League
Vincent Kompany said after the Champions League match against Augsburg that the early goal was the team's own responsibility and that Bayern now urgently needed a reaction. He criticised the lack of cleverness both in the first and the second match against Stavanger.
Criticism of the playing style and lack of cleverness
Kompany emphasised that Bayern had played with a lot of energy, but had not found a clever line, regardless of the referee. He added that away games are not always easy, even when the team is superior.
Harry Kane, also heard on Amazon Prime, described the first half as poor, while the second was significantly better. He referred to the red card that had decisively changed the game in the final minutes, and criticised the many big mistakes that had led to the punishment.

Konrad Laimer added that the start had been “stupid” and that the team had lost control in the second half because it allowed itself to be provoked and continued playing with ten men. He stressed that it was not about the effort, but that every player must be clever in every situation.
All three players demanded an immediate reaction to secure the further Champions League campaign.
