Bayern faces unknown future for Musiala as Hoeneß left speechless

FC Bayern announced that Jamal Musiala, the 23‑year‑old offensive midfielder, is expected to continue his career despite a recently diagnosed neurological dysfunction, while club legend Uli Hoeneß, described as Sprachloser Hoeneß, said he was left speechless by the development. The club emphasized that medical assessments are ongoing and that there is no immediate risk to his performance.

Medical details of Musiala’s episodes

Musiala experienced brief absences during a test match (Spiel) against 1. FC Heidenheim and three days earlier in a game versus RB Leipzig. In both instances he received short on‑field treatment before leaving the pitch. His Marktwert is listed at €100.00 million, and the club described the episodes as a form of epileptic seizures that were medically cleared.

Club and Hoeneß reaction

The player posted on social media that the absences were temporary, well‑treatable and linked to a neurological dysfunction. He added that he is receiving the best medical care, feels optimistic and that both FC Bayern and his private circle stand by him. He stressed that there is no further health risk.

The Verein obtained a written statement from the treating neurologists confirming no concerns for high‑performance sport. The club said this allows them to rest a little more easily. Unconditional support for Musiala was reaffirmed by the organisation.

Uli Hoeneß told RTL and Sky Sport that the recurrence of symptoms four days later “shook him off his seat”. Er said, “Es ist ein Drama, und Der Hoeneß ist Sprachloser.” In his Wort he expressed that the club is honestly speechless and unprepared. Hoene added that he thinks of Musiala day and night and that the club will learn to manage the issue.

Uncertain upcoming fixtures

No decision has been made about Musiala’s involvement in the upcoming Supercup against Borussia Dortmund or the Liga opener versus VfB Stuttgart. Ein assessment will be made in the coming days.
