FC Barcelona have secured the transfer of Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of about €22 million plus €7 million in bonuses, as announced by Fabrizio Romano with his trademark “Here we go”. The deal brings the 24‑year‑old Duitser to Spain on a five‑year contract until mid‑2031.
The agreement follows a rejected bid on Thursday 9 July, when Dortmund initially turned down Barcelona’s offer. The final package amounts to a fixed sum of €22 million with €7 million in performance‑related bonuses, bringing the total close to €30 million.
Barcelona pursued Adeyemi because Hansi Flick identified him as a key target to refresh the attack. The 24‑year‑old showed eagerness to leave, and the club secured his services with a contract running to mid‑2031 in Spanje.
