Vlahovic stalls Besiktas offer while courting Barcelona, Bayern

🇮🇹

Dusan Vlahovic, the 26‑year‑old former Juventus striker, arrived in Turkey yesterday to hear Besiktas’ proposal, yet he has placed the Turkish giants’ €10 million‑a‑year wage and €5 million signing‑on bonus on hold while keeping his sights on bigger suitors such as Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

Juventus have officially ended their relationship with Vlahovic, leaving the striker as a free agent. The split follows the club’s decision to move on without a new contract for the 26‑year‑old.

Vlahovic met with Juventus manager Vincenzo Italiano to discuss the Turkish club’s interest. During the talks, the striker emphasized that he would not rush into a decision.

Besiktas presented a financial package that includes a €10 million annual salary. In addition, the Turkish side offered a €5 million signing‑on bonus to secure the player’s services.

Despite the lucrative offer, Vlahovic has put Besiktas’ proposal on hold while he awaits approaches from larger clubs. Barcelona and Bayern Munich have been specifically named as the teams that could capture his attention.

Atletico Madrid is also reported to be monitoring the striker’s availability, and Juventus remain in the background, ready to re‑enter the competition if circumstances change. The Italian club is said to be watching the developments from the wings.

The primary obstacle to any move is Vlahovic’s wage demands, which have already troubled Juventus. His entourage’s expected commission could further delay a transfer to any big club, prompting suitors to wait for a possible reduction in his demands later in the window.
