Nouri's Legacy Lives On

🇳🇱

As Netherlands and Morocco face off in the World Cup, the Nouri family will be watching. Abdelhak Nouri, a former Ajax player, suffered a heart attack in 2017 and now requires intensive care. His family ensures he never misses a match, even at 3:00 AM.

Abderrahim, Abdelhak's oldest brother, says the family is strict about letting him sleep during late matches. If he's asleep, they'll show him the match later on his laptop.

Abdelhak Nouri was a talented player who played for Ajax and the Netherlands youth teams. He had many friends in both the Netherlands and Morocco, including Frenkie de Jong, Guus Til, and Denzel Dumfries.

Many of his former teammates and friends still visit him regularly, including Noa Lang, Justin Kluivert, and Sofyan Amrabat.

Nouri's jersey number, 34, has become a symbol of his legacy. Many players, including Ismael Saibari and Bilal El Khannouss, have worn the number as a tribute to him.

The Nouri family is grateful for the support and tributes they've received over the years. Abderrahim says it gives them motivation and shows that Abdelhak's legacy lives on.

The Netherlands-Marocco match will be a special one, with many of Abdelhak's friends and former teammates playing. The family hopes for a beautiful match and a peaceful atmosphere.
