Inter's €25m chase for Khalaili pits ambition against Belgian resolve
Internazionale are preparing a €25 million offer for 21‑year‑old Anan Khalaili, while Union Sint‑Gillis, the Belgian side that signed the winger for €5 million in 2024, insists the player remains under contract until mid‑2028 and expects a similar fee. The Italian giants see the Belgian talent as a potential replacement for Denzel Dumfries, whose move to Real Madrid looms.
Transfer journalist Sacha Tavolieri says the Italians are concrete for Khalaili and a bid of about €25 million is being prepared. The Nerazzurri intend to open negotiations in the coming days with a proposal that could reach that amount.
The interest is not new; at the end of June Inter placed Khalaili on a shortlist as a possible successor to Denzel Dumfries. Dumfries is reportedly close to a transfer to Real Madrid.
Transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio noted that Khalaili was already among the primary candidates to reinforce the right flank in Milan. Napoli also monitors the 21‑year‑old, viewing him as a potential flank reinforcement.
Khalaili has been playing for Union Sint‑Gillis since the summer of 2024. The Brussels club acquired him from Maccabi Haifa for roughly €5 million.
Union Sint‑Gillis has secured Khalaili on a contract that runs until mid‑2028. The club is reportedly aiming for a transfer fee of about €25 million.
Should Inter present that figure, negotiations could accelerate in the coming days. Both clubs appear ready to engage quickly once the offer is on the table.
