Luis Enrique Shows Barcelona’s Talent Factory

FC Barcelona is confirmed as the world’s best talent factory, having produced 13 Ballon d’Or winners. The club has also produced top coaches, including Luis Enrique Martínez. Martínez secured his third Champions League title, the first with Barcelona and the two subsequent with Paris Saint‑Germain.

“Es el mejor y si mantiene el ritmo, de la historia” was said about Martínez. The comment was made during Media Day for the European final against Arsenal.

Martínez told La Nueva España that without Barcelona’s chance to coach he would not be where he is. He described the opportunity as arriving when he “was nobody”.

He recalled the 2009‑10 season that ended with promotion for Barcelona’s reserve side. He credited Barcelona for giving him his first coaching role.

Martínez managed Barcelona’s first team from 2014 to 2017. He oversaw the 2015 treble during that spell.

Barcelona’s track record suggests it will keep generating elite players and coaches. The 13 Ballon d’Or winners include both male and female players.
