Vitesse awaits decisive Hoge Raad ruling in KNVB‑driven case
Vitesse are awaiting the oral decision of the Dutch Supreme Court, the Hoge Raad, in the cassation case launched by the KNVB, with the hearing scheduled for Friday morning at 10:00. The outcome will determine the club's professional licence status.
The KNVB initiated the cassation after the Gerechtshof Arnhem-Leeuwarden issued a judgment on 3 September last year, which suspended the decision to withdraw Vitesse's professional licence.
That earlier court ruling required the football association to halt the licence revocation, prompting the appeal to the Hoge Raad.
The oral ruling is set for 10:00 on Friday, and Vitesse will listen for the verdict that could confirm the suspension of the licence withdrawal.
