Unprecedented demand sees Ryder Cup tickets at Adare Manor sell out

More than 12 times over, the 2027 Ryder Cup general admission tickets at Adare Manor have sold out, with the ballot concluding after unprecedented global demand. A third of the allocated seats went to Irish fans, while the remaining 66% will travel from 80 countries for the week of 13‑19 September.

The ballot process allocated all tickets, confirming that demand spanned 80 nations. Irish spectators secured exactly one‑third of the general admission pool, reflecting strong local interest alongside the international draw.

Organisers project overall attendance for the seven‑day event to exceed 250,000, with a daily capacity of 55,000 spectators. The tournament will run from 13 to 19 September 2027 at the newly built Adare Manor venue.

Richard Atkinson, the European Tour group’s chief Ryder Cup officer, said the event could have sold out “more than 12 times over”. He added, “We always thought there would be huge global interest… the demand… has been nothing short of remarkable.”

Fans who succeeded in the ballot were notified over the past seven days. An exclusive island‑of‑Ireland priority window opened in May and sold out in under an hour, underscoring the rapid pace of ticket acquisition.

While general admission is fully allocated, some travel packages and premium experience tickets remain available on the market.

Earlier this week, home favourite Pádraig Harrington was named vice‑captain by Luke Donald, adding a familiar Irish face to the team leadership.
