Season-long loan adds Teyah Goldie to Palace’s WSL push
Crystal Palace have secured a season‑long loan for 22‑year‑old defender Teyah Goldie from London City Lionesses.
Goldie featured in six WSL matches last season as London City finished sixth in their debut campaign, and will be keen for more game time.
Jo Potter’s squad will benefit from Goldie’s defensive versatility as they aim to compete in the WSL following promotion. The addition strengthens Palace’s back line ahead of a demanding top‑flight season.
Goldie has represented England’s youth teams, showcasing her potential at international level. She previously enjoyed loan spells at Watford and London City before securing a permanent move to Bromley.
Before her recent moves, Goldie spent over a decade at Arsenal after graduating from the club’s academy. Her long tenure at the London club underlines her development within elite English football.
The defender’s arrival marks Palace’s second signing of the summer, following midfielder Sierra Enge’s transfer from French side Strasbourg. The back‑to‑back acquisitions highlight the club’s active recruitment strategy.
Palace’s summer activity reflects a broader market trend of clubs bolstering squads after promotion. Adding players like Goldie and Enge demonstrates a commitment to remain competitive in the WSL.
