Rotherham fill attacking void with ex‑MK Dons striker Aaron Nemane
Rotherham United have signed former MK Dons forward Aaron Nemane on a two‑year contract, addressing the club’s need for depth up front. The 28‑year‑old Frenchman arrives as a free agent after departing the Dons earlier this summer, giving the Tigers a fresh attacking option.
Nemane recorded three goals in 78 league appearances for MK Dons during his spell with the club. His modest tally reflects limited scoring opportunities but provides experience at League One level.
He left MK Dons in July, becoming a free agent after his contract expired. The move frees up wage space for Rotherham United as they reshape their squad.
The Frenchman spent time in Manchester City’s academy, gaining experience in a top‑flight development system. Those formative years are expected to aid his adaptation to the Championship.
Nemane is the club’s second summer signing, following the arrival of other targets earlier in the window. The addition underlines Alex Bruce’s intent to broaden attacking options.
Alex Bruce’s men will open the campaign with an EFL Cup tie against West Brom on Saturday, 8 August, giving Nemane an immediate chance to prove himself. The Cup fixture offers a platform for the new forward to integrate quickly.
All the deals were completed in July 2026, marking a busy transfer period for Rotherham United. The club now looks to blend the new arrivals with existing talent ahead of the season.
