Roma lock in Argentine star as Pellegrini renewal hangs in balance

🇮🇹 By 4AllFootball Editorial ·
Roma have welcomed Argentine forward Paulo Dybala on a contract loaded with generous bonuses, while the club remains confident that attacking midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini will soon sign a new deal, keeping the Giallorossi’s core intact after a series of recent negotiations and positive meetings with his representatives. The Argentine forward’s contract includes a series of performance‑related bonuses that reward goal contributions and appearances. Roma view Dybala as a key addition to bolster their attacking options. Only Lorenzo Pellegrini is missing from the list of renewals the club is currently working on. Negotiations with his representatives are ongoing as Roma aim to secure his signature. Il club president Daniele Trigoria said the financial terms are achievable for the Roman side and that optimism is growing around the deal. He stressed the importance of retaining the creative midfielder. The Giallorossi are also awaiting confirmation on Zeki Celik’s stay, the only outstanding item on the renewal agenda. Club sources indicated that his permanence will be announced shortly. Roma are in talks with the number 7’s entourage to finalise details, following a positive meeting between Tony D’Amico and the player’s agent Giampiero Pocetta. The discussion focused on extending Pellegrini’s contract. Rumours linking Juventus to Pellegrini’s future remain unconfirmed, and earlier speculation about a move to Besiktas has been dismissed. Pellegrini has consistently expressed a desire to remain in Rome. Dybala’s bonus‑laden deal adds firepower to the squad, while an expected Pellegrini extension would lock down the club’s creative core. Confirming Zeki Celik’s stay would complete Roma’s renewal agenda.
