Real Madrid's final contract offer puts Vini Jr on the line

At the six‑minute mark of the first half, Vinicius Junior, the Brasil forward, tapped in a close‑range strike against Escócia, a reminder of his impact as Real Madrid delivered an ultimatum on his contract renewal. The club warned that no further offer will be made and expects a decision within days.

According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, Real Madrid informed Vini Jr that it will not make a new proposal and expects a definitive answer in the coming days.

The board added that if the Brazilian does not accept the presented conditions, the club is prepared to sell him within this transfer window.

Vini’s current contract runs until June 2027; without renewal he could sign a pre‑contract with another team from 1 January and leave the Spanish side free of charge at season’s end.

Real Madrid does not want to begin the 2026/27 campaign without a decision, stating the offer on the table is the last and will not be increased or altered.

Negotiations are set to resume in the next few days, with the club hoping Vini accepts the deal to remain in the project overseen by José Mourinho; otherwise a transfer will be considered.

Vini’s priority, according to the newspaper As, is to stay in Madri, but he seeks guarantees on his role in the new sporting project and a salary that reflects his importance; Arsenal and Liverpool are monitoring the situation.

The Brazilian joined from Flamengo in 2018, signed his current deal in 2022 (officially announced in October 2023), carries a €1 billion release clause, scored in the 2021/22 and 2023/24 Champions League finals, and won FIFA’s The Best award in 2024.
