Racing Lens accelerates recruitment after Hazard with new Polish winger

🇫🇷 By 4AllFootball Editorial ·

Après Thorgan Hazard, Racing Lens has completed another Jupiler Pro League transfer, bringing the 26‑year‑old Polonais winger Michal Skoras from La Gantoise to the Sang & Or side in Pas‑de‑Calais. The back‑to‑back signings underline the club’s rapid squad overhaul.

Thorgan Hazard was presented on the club’s side earlier this week after months of speculation. The Belgian international left Sporting d'Anderlecht on a free transfer and returned to the club where his career began, having progressed through the Racing Lens youth academy and made his professional debut there.

On Tuesday Racing Lens announced the arrival of Michal Skoras, a winger who spent the previous season at La Gantoise. The Polish international joins for a reported fee of six million euros, adding depth to the attacking line‑up.

Skoras departed Club de Bruges, where he was mainly used as a joker, to spend the last summer with the Buffalos. He featured in a full campaign at the Planet Group Arena, delivering eleven decisive passes in thirty‑five league matches.

His earlier spell at Club de Bruges saw him amass ninety appearances, six goals and eight assists, often arriving late in the attack. La Gantoise had invested only 1.8 million euros to acquire him, compared with the six‑million‑euro outlay by Bruges for his services from Lech Poznan. Lire

The Polish international, capped fourteen times, has signed a contract with Racing Lens that runs until 2031. Rumours also suggest the club may soon consider a possible return of Loïs Openda.

The contrast between Hazard’s homecoming and Skoras’s fresh arrival highlights Racing Lens’s dual strategy of re‑engaging former talents while injecting new Pro League experience, a pattern that could shape their ambitions in the coming seasons.
