Paris Saint-Germain’s search for a striker sidelines Kroupi

Paris Saint‑Germain are not expected to pursue AFC Bournemouth’s 20‑year‑old forward Éli Junior Kroupi this summer, reports. The French giants are actively looking for an attacking replacement after the exits of Gonçalo Ramos, Lee Kang‑in and Randal Kolo Muani, but the Cherries’ youngster remains off their immediate agenda.

The departures of Gonçalo Ramos (24), Lee Kang‑in (25) and Randal Kolo Muani (27) have left a clear void in PSG’s front line. The Rouge et Bleu management have therefore been scouting for an attacking reinforcement.

Éli Junior Kroupi has expressed interest in joining the Paris project, and several insiders at the club are said to back his case. Nevertheless, the management have not opened the door to his arrival at this stage.

The Cherries’ determination to retain Kroupi, combined with a reported minimum price exceeding €100 million, makes the transfer a costly proposition. Consequently, the deal is not currently a priority for the French side.

Barcelona’s Ferran Torres (26) and Atalanta’s Charles de Ketelaere (25) have both been linked with PSG and sit on the club’s shortlist. The shortlist also includes a third unnamed player whose identity has not yet been disclosed.

With the high price tag and Bournemouth’s resolve, PSG are likely to focus on the already identified alternatives before revisiting Kroupi. The club’s immediate transfer agenda will therefore centre on Torres, de Ketelaere and the mystery candidate.
