Millwall secure Indonesia's Elkan Baggott as they bolster defence
Millwall have signed Indonesia international Elkan Baggott from Ipswich Town for an undisclosed fee, adding a 23‑year‑old centre‑back who has earned 27 caps for his country and returns to the Championship this summer after Ipswich’s promotion to the Premier League.
The transfer fee remains undisclosed, and Millwall have not revealed the length of Baggott’s contract, describing it only as a long‑term deal.
“He's a good age, has a real appetite to improve and fits the profile we look for defensively,” said Steve Gallen, Millwall's director of football, on the club's website.
Baggott, 23, is a centre‑back who will re‑enter the English Championship following Ipswich Town’s ascent to the Premier League.
He made nine appearances for Ipswich after progressing through their youth academy, gaining valuable first‑team experience before his move.
His career also includes loan spells at King's Lynn, Gillingham, Cheltenham Town, Bristol Rovers and Blackpool, adding depth to his development.
The signing marks Millwall’s fifth addition of the summer transfer window, and Baggott arrives with 27 international caps for Indonesia.
