Mbappé reassures after injury scare in France win

🇫🇷 By 4AllFootball Editorial ·
Kylian Mbappé has reassured fans about his injury after being forced to leave the match against Marokko early. The French superstar spoke with the Franse tv after the game, stating that he received a kick to his ankle but is okay. Mbappé said, "It's going well with me, I got a kick against my ankle, but it's okay. Jean-Philippe Mateta was fitter than I and could play the last fifteen minutes." He also mentioned that the team is happy to be in the semi-finals but acknowledges there is still a long way to go. The Real Madrid attacker faced his friend Achraf Hakimi, a rechtsback for Paris Saint-Germain, during the match against Marokko. When asked if he felt sorry for his friend, Mbappé replied, "No, there is no emotion. I am here to win and he was here to win. He is a good friend, and it might touch me a bit to see him like that, but I have no feelings about it right now." Didier Deschamps, the coach of Les Bleus, is pleased with the team's victory. France will face the winner of the match between Spanje and België in the semi-finals. Deschamps stated, "I have a few great players. It was a tough day. The missed penalty and the missed chances made it difficult. Kylian reacted well and scored. We are where we wanted to be. We will recover well and see who our opponent is." The win sets up an exciting semi-final match, with France looking to continue their success in the tournament.
