Massive shift: Liverpool set to lose Scouser Curtis Jones
One year remaining on his contract, Curtis Jones is set to leave Liverpool this summer after the club reportedly agreed a deal to sell the Scouser, with reports in Italy confirming the move. The midfielder, who fell out of favour under Arne Slot, could move quickly.
Jones spent most of his recent game time at right‑back after Conor Bradley’s injury, a shift that highlighted his reduced role. Lack of any talk about a new contract fueled speculation that the Reds would off‑load him this summer.
Inter attempted to sign him last January, making an offer that Liverpool rejected despite the Reds reportedly considering it. Corriere Dello Sport noted that Inter’s bid was turned down, partly because Liverpool were dealing with an injury crisis at the time.
Notably, Corriere Dello Sport now says it won’t be Inter who gets him, as Nottingham Forest appear to have reached an agreement with Liverpool. Forest, fresh from selling Elliot Anderson to Manchester City, need a centre‑midfielder and view Jones as an immediate replacement.
