Manchester United eye 50‑million euro swoop on former Ajacied

🇬🇧 By 4AllFootball ·

Manchester United have signalled a strong interest in signing 23‑year‑old Portuguese winger Francisco Conceicao, with newly appointed manager Michael Carrick championing the move, according to a report by published today. The club is prepared to meet the estimated €50 million fee to bring the former Ajacied to the Premier League.

Manchester United and Michael Carrick want to acquire Conceicao from Juventus, Dat writes . The Juventus valuation is placed at roughly £43 million, which converts to about fifty million euros.

Conceicao emerged last season as a regular starter for Juventus, helping the Turin side finish sixth in Serie A. Juventus secured his permanent transfer in the summer of 2025 from FC Porto for €32 million, promising a sizable profit on the small winger.

In his still‑early career the 23‑year‑old also featured in 19 Eredivisie matches. At Ajax he never forced a regular starting place, prompting a swift return to his native Portugal.

Internationally, Conceicao has earned 21 caps for Portugal and featured at the most recent World Cup, primarily as a substitute. His limited minutes at the tournament underline his emerging status on the world stage.

He is currently enjoying a holiday but may report in England after his break, potentially joining United’s pre‑season preparations. The timing suggests he could be registered for the upcoming Premier League campaign.

Conceicao is not United’s only target; the club is also monitoring Alex Scott of Bournemouth. Reports indicate United hold an advantage over Chelsea in the race for the Bournemouth forward.
