Liverpool US tour launches at GEODIS Park Iraola debut

🇬🇧 By 4AllFootball Editorial ·

The launch of Liverpool US’s pre‑season tour marks the official start of the Iraola era, with the first friendly set for GEODIS Park Iraola on Saturday 25 July. Kick‑off is scheduled for 11 pm BST (5 pm local) in Nashville, Tennessee, giving fans a first look at Andoni Iraola’s Liverpool.

GEODIS Park opened in May 2022 at a reported cost of $335 million and sits in Nashville’s Wedgewood‑Houston area on the site of The Fairgrounds Nashville. Home to Nashville SC, the 30,000‑seat arena is the largest purpose‑built football stadium in the United States and Canada, with a safe‑standing section only 150 feet from the pitch.

The Nashville match is the first of five friendlies Liverpool have arranged before the new campaign, providing a competitive‑style look at Iraola’s side despite the result being irrelevant. It follows Arne Slot’s departure after the club’s 2025‑26 collapse, and the tour now serves more than a fitness exercise for a squad seeking direction under the new coach.

GEODIS Park previously hosted three matches of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, featuring Boca Juniors, Al Hilal and LAFC. The venue has also been selected to host nine games of the 2028 Olympic football tournament.

Ticketmaster is handling ticket sales and the stadium is served by Nashville’s WeGo public transport, with Route 8 offering a direct match‑day service for a $4 day pass. Supporters travelling to Tennessee now have clear logistics for the US leg of the tour.

The Nashville fixture will set the tone for the rest of the US leg, and the club hopes the modern stadium and close‑quarter proximity will help showcase a recognisable playing idea quickly. Success in Nashville will be the first public indicator of how the new era under Iraola will unfold.
