World Cup
Kevin De Bruyne and Charles De Ketelaere lead party dance on Ibiza
Under the Balearic sun on Ibiza, Kevin De Bruyne and Charles De Ketelaere broke from training to film a playful dance that quickly went viral. The clip, posted after the WK, shows the two Belgian internationals laughing with friends as they mimic a signature move, offering a vivid glimpse of post‑World Cup relaxation.
After the WK the Rode Duivels have been enjoying a period of well‑earned rest before returning to their clubs. The pause follows a demanding tournament and gives the squad time to recharge away from the pitch.
The video captures De Bruyne and De Ketelaere on the island, surrounded by the turquoise sea and a crowd of fellow players. Both are dressed casually, and the camera follows their synchronized steps as they dance on a beachside terrace.
Joining them is Steven Defour, described as De Bruyne's close friend, together with partners Isabel Stams (Defour), Jozefien Van de Velde (De Ketelaere) and Michèle Lacroix (De Bruyne). The quartet stepped onto the sand and added their own flair, turning the impromptu routine into a group performance.
The choreography was not random; it deliberately copied a series of moves De Ketelaere had popularised in earlier videos. He embraced the recreation with enthusiasm, encouraging the others to follow his lead.
Later the party moved to UNVRS, billed as the world’s largest nightclub with a 15,000‑person capacity. John Summit headlined the set, and De Bruyne was spotted in the exclusive VIP zone directly behind the American DJ, watching the crowd erupt.
When the set ended, De Bruyne exchanged a handshake and a hug with Summit, a gesture captured by onlookers. Summit, a house and techno specialist, had just performed at Tomorrowland for two consecutive weekends and was already back on Ibiza the previous day.
Other Belgian players also shared holiday moments: Romelu Lukaku posted Instagram clips of beach time and a padel match, while Thibaut Courtois and his wife Mishel Gerzig attended Tomorrowland, posing with DJs Martin Garrix and Steve Aoki before flying to Brussels for a Bad Bunny concert. Fans were urged to set as their Google-favorietliveblogBekijk to catch the highlights.
