Ipswich Town bolsters squad with Baker and Weir signings
Ipswich Town have completed the signings of winger Ava Baker and defender Kenzie Weir, confirming the arrivals on their official website earlier today. Baker joins on loan from Birmingham City for the 2026/2027 season, while Weir arrives permanently from Everton, adding to a summer influx of ten new players.
Ava Baker is a 20‑year‑old winger who will spend the upcoming season on loan from Birmingham City. She previously spent the second half of last season on loan at Ipswich Town. During that spell she made nine appearances for the Sussex side and scored one goal. Baker’s contributions helped Ipswich retain their Barclays WSL2 status after promotion at the end of the 2024/2025 campaign.
Kenzie Weir, aged 22, has signed a permanent deal with Ipswich Town after leaving Everton. Like Baker, Weir also spent the second half of last season on loan with The Tractor Girls. In her loan spell she featured in five matches for Ipswich Town and found the net twice. Weir will be hoping to carry her momentum into her permanent spell with the club.
The Tractor Girls have assembled a strong squad which should perform well in Barclays WSL2 once the new season gets underway.
