Godts leaves Ajax for PSG in €55 million deal, calls it a ‘see you later’

Belgian winger Mika Godts has officially left Ajax for Paris Saint-Germain, with the French club agreeing to pay up to €55 million for the 22‑year‑old forward, ending his Ajax chapter definitively after a season of 115 appearances, 26 goals and 28 assists.

Godts had originally planned to remain at Ajax for another season, hoping to capture the league title for the Amsterdamers, but the offer from the Champions League winner proved impossible to refuse.

Godts shares heartfelt Instagram tribute

On Monday, Godts posted on Instagram: “Three and a half years ago a dream began at Ajax. A dream that grew into so much more. From a boy who entered his dream club to a man who now looks back with pride at everything this period has brought – the people, the moments, the lessons and all the support along the way.”

He added that his move to Paris Saint-Germain is a “beautiful step”, thanking everyone who has been part of his journey and insisting, “This does not feel like a goodbye, but a see‑you‑later. Once an Ajax player, always an Ajax player.”

During his time with the Amsterdam club, Godts featured in 115 duels, scored 26 times and provided 28 assists, while also earning his first senior international cap for Belgium.

Despite the personal statistics, the period did not yield a tangible trophy for the Belgian forward.

Godts now looks ahead to contributing at Paris Saint-Germain as the French side prepares for upcoming competitions.
