Full house or empty seats? Anderlecht’s ticket gamble ahead of Hammarby clash

RSC Anderlecht will host Swedish side Hammarby IF on Thursday 13 August in the second leg of their Europa League tie, a match that arrives with every regular ticket already sold and only VIP tickets remaining, while the club presses for a full stadium to secure progression.

All standard tickets for the European return fixture have been snapped up, leaving VIP tickets as the sole option for fans who still wish to attend, and the club has publicly stated its aim to fill every seat in Lotto Park.

For safety reasons, only supporters who have previously received a ticket for RSC Anderlecht are permitted to buy tickets for this match, and sections W11, W12 and S13 have been closed on police orders.

Mauve+ members enjoy early access, being able to purchase tickets for the upcoming European round as well as the first four competitive matches at Lotto Park, and they can also buy tickets for the opening home game against RAAL La Louvière, now on open sale.

The first leg in Sweden ended in a 1‑1 draw, meaning the purple‑white side must win at home to advance; a draw in the second leg would trigger extra time and, if necessary, a penalty shoot‑out.

A victory would see RSC Anderlecht face PAOK FC or Dynamo Kiev in the next Europa League round, whereas elimination would drop them into the UEFA Conference League against Raków Częstochowa or Valletta FC.

The return match is scheduled for Thursday 13 August at Lotto Park, providing a decisive moment for the Belgian club’s European campaign.
