Eintracht Frankfurt hails Brown’s €50m Bayern move as Bundesliga win

Eintracht Frankfurt CEO praised the €50 million transfer of 23‑year‑old Nathaniel Brown to Bayern Munich, calling it “good that he’s still in the Bundesliga,” while Board Member for Sport Markus Krösche added his remarks from the SGE training camp in Grassau.

Markus Krösche, Eintracht Frankfurt’s Board Member for Sport, commented on the transfer, saying it is a recognition for the player, Nene, and also for the club itself. He highlighted that the move underscores the club’s ability to develop talent capable of commanding top fees.

Krösche explained that players at Eintracht develop to a level where they can move to Bayern Munich for €50 million. He noted that such development reflects the quality of the club’s training and scouting.

According to Krösche, the €50 million fee makes Brown’s transfer the most expensive in Bundesliga history. He emphasized that this record fee sets a new benchmark for domestic transfers.

Krösche also called the move a positive story for German football, as the player remains in the Bundesliga rather than moving abroad. He contrasted this with recent years when players like Woltemade, Wirtz, Ekitiké and Marmoush left the league.

He listed those players—Woltemade, Wirtz, Ekitiké and Marmoush—as examples of talent that chose foreign clubs. Their departures highlight Brown’s decision to stay as particularly noteworthy.
