Chelsea are facing stiff competition for Lille striker Matias Fernandez-Pardo this summer, with Liverpool, Arsenal and Atletico Madrid also in the race to sign the 21‑year‑old Belgian forward. The Blues must outbid their rivals to secure his services before his contract runs out in 2029.

L’Equipe revealed the interest, noting that the Belgian talent has shown impressive form in French football. In the previous campaign he recorded eight goals and seven assists across 41 matches for Lille, establishing himself as a focal point of their attack.

Fernandez-Pardo is tied to Lille until the summer of 2029, a clause that could make a cheap acquisition unlikely for any club. This long‑term deal adds another layer of difficulty for Chelsea as they weigh the financial commitment required.
