Captaincy doubts swirl at NAC Breda as Nassoh says KKD is settled

🇳🇱 By 4AllFootball Editorial ·

Mo Nassoh, 23, has been named the new captain of NAC Breda, although the Brabantse club has not yet made the appointment official. He already wore the armband in the last two practice matches, and he told Voetbal International that the Keuken Kampioen Divisie season is already set.

The captaincy has not been formally confirmed by the club, but the midfielder displayed the captain’s band in the two recent friendlies. This move was announced through a statement that highlighted the decision was made "Door de Brabantse club".

At 23, Nassoh’s future at the club remains uncertain, with speculation about whether he will stay beyond the current contract.

Voetbal International interviewed the former Sparta and Jong PSV player on Wednesday evening to discuss his plans.

In a few weeks, the relegated NAC will begin a new campaign in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie, the second tier of Dutch football.

“Actually the KKD was already played out. But now I’m here,” Nassoh said when asked about his role.

He added, “Is there interest? Good question. Now it’s quiet. Every player is open to a higher or nicer step. If something comes, we’ll see.”

Boy Kemper, who captained “De Parel van het Zuiden” last season, chose not to extend his expiring contract and has since joined Queen Park Rangers.

Nassoh’s contract with NAC runs until mid‑2029, providing the club with a long‑term option despite the uncertainty.
