Brussels Union targets Lens keeper Hervé Koffi after Scherpen exit

🇬🇧 By 4AllFootball ·

After goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen joined Premier League side Ipswich Town, Brussels club Union Saint‑Gilloise found itself without a first‑choice keeper and moved quickly to secure a replacement, announcing the loan of former Charleroi and Mouscron custodian Hervé Koffi from French club Lens.

Scherpen's departure left Union without a senior goalkeeper for the upcoming fixtures, forcing the Brussels side to act swiftly.

The club turned to a familiar name, recalling Hervé Koffi, who previously guarded the posts for Charleroi and Mouscron in the Belgian league.

Koffi will join Union on a loan deal from French club Lens, providing a short‑term solution while the Belgian side rebuilds its goalkeeping options.

With the loan completed, Union now has a ready replacement as they prepare for upcoming matches.
