Arsenal’s title chase gains German prodigy Lisa Baum from Leipzig
When the club released its statement this morning, Arsenal confirmed the signing of 19‑year‑old German winger Lisa Baum. The youth international arrives from RB Leipzig, where she impressed in the Frauen Bundesliga, bolstering the Gunners' attack ahead of a title push.
Baum joins Arsenal from the German Google Pixel Frauen Bundesliga side RB Leipzig. She spent the previous season with the Red Bulls after joining them last summer, recording six goals in 26 appearances during the 2025/2026 German top‑flight campaign. Before Leipzig, Baum played for Hamburger SV, helping the club secure promotion to the 2. Frauen Bundesliga. Internationally, she has represented Germany at various youth levels, most recently the Under‑23 side.
Renée Slegers said, “Lisa is a young wide forward who will bring direct intent and athleticism to our attacking group.” She added, “At 19, she is still developing and we believe she has huge potential, which we will support her to achieve.”
The Gunners, fresh from winning the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup, the UEFA Women’s Champions League and two Subway Women’s League Cups, are eager to end their seven‑year league title drought this term. Baum is the fifth signing Arsenal have completed in this summer transfer window, adding depth as they chase the league title.
