Petkovic, the 62‑year‑old Swiss‑Bosnian technicien, formally stepped down from his position, ending a brief tenure that began in February 2024.

During his spell, Petkovic oversaw 39 matches for Algérie, compiling a record of 24 victories, 9 draws and 6 defeats.
